This is a list of games that natively support the built-in MIDI synth (EMU8000) of the Creative Sound Blaster AWE32/AWE64 family of cards. For these games, selecting AWE32 as the music device provides wavetable-quality MIDI output, utilizing the built-in ROM bank of the EMU8000 (or sound fonts loaded into the AWE RAM).
This mode does not require any external MIDI devices connected via MPU-401 and does not require the General MIDI emulation capability of the AWE cards (AWEUTIL /EM). However, the EMU8000 must first be initialized using the AWEUTIL /S command.
Many games allow selecting AWE32/AWE64 as the digital audio device (sometimes as "Sound Blaster 16 / AWE-32"). However, this does not utilize any special capabilities of the AWE cards, as their digital audio portion is identical to the SB16. Therefore, these games should not be mentioned here; the list should include only games where the AWE32 mode plays different music than the FM/OPL3 mode used for SB/SBPro/SB16 devices.
