Hardware support:
Games that require paletted texture support in order to start, or show visual differences on hardware that doesn't support this feature:
- European Air War (1998)
- Final Fantasy VII (1998)[6]
- Final Fantasy VIII (2000)[7]
Additionally, certain games can optionally use paletted textures to improve rendering performance, but do not require them in order to run, and don't show any visual differences on hardware which doesn't support this feature. Examples include:
Note: both of these lists are incomplete. They merely show the currently known games for which paletted texture use has been confirmed by testing.
